Waitlist form
A waitlist is about the shortest form there is: an email address, and perhaps one question that tells you who is waiting. Embed it on a launch page, share the link, and ask your assistant how the list is growing.
Say this to your assistant
“Make a waitlist for our new budgeting app: email, first name, what they would mainly use it for, and whether they would like to try an early version.”
Change the wording to suit your event or business. formset reads what the question is asking and picks the right type, so an email address is checked as an email and a rating is collected as a rating.
What formset builds
It is hosted at its own link straight away. Respondents need no account, and you can share it as a link, a QR code, or embedded in your own site.
Getting more answers
- Embed it on your launch page and put the link in your social profiles. A waitlist stays open for months, so there is no closing date to set.
- Keep everything except the email short or optional. A question someone has to think about is a reason to leave the page.
- After you post somewhere new, ask how many joined each day. The jump shows which post brought people in.
Then just ask
When the answers come in, ask in the same conversation:
- “How many people joined each day this week?”
- “List the emails of everyone who wants early access.”
- “Export the whole list for my email tool.”
