Order form
A small pre-order needs a name, what they want, how many, and when they will collect it. formset collects the orders and counts them when you ask. On Pro, a button to your own Venmo, PayPal or Stripe page can follow on the thank-you page; formset never handles the money.
Say this to your assistant
“Make an order form for our school bake sale pre-orders: name, phone, which box they want — brownies, cookies or mixed — how many boxes, and whether they will collect on Friday or Saturday.”
Change the wording to suit your event or business. formset reads what the question is asking and picks the right type, so an email address is checked as an email and a rating is collected as a rating.
What formset builds
It is hosted at its own link straight away. Respondents need no account, and you can share it as a link, a QR code, or embedded in your own site.
Getting more answers
- Ask formset to stop taking orders with enough time left to shop and bake, and say the cut-off in the description so nobody is surprised.
- A limit on answers counts orders, not boxes. If you can make 40 boxes and people may order several, set the limit lower than 40.
- On Pro, ask for a Venmo, PayPal or Stripe button on the thank-you page and put the price in the thank-you message. Payment happens on that service, so check it against the orders yourself.
Then just ask
When the answers come in, ask in the same conversation:
- “How many orders are there for each box?”
- “Who is collecting on Saturday, and how many boxes each?”
- “Export the orders so I can print a pick list.”
